First, for those gazillion people unaware of my work, let me introduce you to Hitomi, Kiro and the The Pink Forest.
Hitomi (meaning "eye pupil" or "brightness" in Japanese) is a teen girl that always looks sad. Why? She just does hate (ex) Pdt George W Bush. Her dog, Kiro, follows her like a shadow and is always looking for a gun. They both live in The Pink Forest, kinda lost Paradise, with bunch of characters’ (Haruki, Yukiko, Kaori, The Man Wit The Sheep Head etc.) Every powerful guys attempt to join The Pink Forest in order to be forgiven for all his wrongdoings.
The first paintings were always with an asynchronous statement about Pdt George W Bush. Later he appeared directly confronted with Hiromi and Kiro. Same story occurred to Pdt Sarkozy by the way, and Pdt Hollande is too "Normal" to become a centre of interest for the members of The Pink Forest.
So it seems Georgy boy has bee trying another strategy in order to attract Hitomi's attention: painting! Thanks to an audacious hacker, world knows now that former Pdt George W is a painter. Surely the best thing he did in the 21st century.
Let's take a minute to analyse those new paintings. After an 8 years attempt to rule the world, ex-Pdt is alone, analysing his mistakes. (He knows he has a mandatory repentance work to do to enter The Pink Forest).
The first picture shows a man in a shower. A mirror is located 33% from the top on the canvas and 33% from the left (Is W playing with Fibonacci magic numbers? ). The image reflected is W himself. One could think W was inspired by Velasquez, "Las Meninas". Well, no. It is just impossible. The man is not in front of the mirror. So this is the first reason the man from behind is not W. The second reason is, do you really believe W has been eating steroids to become Mr Universe? So I guess the real question now is: What former Pdt W is doing in the shower with another man?
To me, the second painting is far more interesting. The perspective (from the painter's eyeballs) reminds me a picture by one of my favourite’s artists, Jules de Balincourt. In 2004, he painted a banal scene in an airplane (click here to see).The same view with John Doe's legs will not draw attention. When you consider those are belonging to W himself, it is another story. We barely know about his legs. For 8 years we saw him behind his desk at the Oval Office or at NATO or UN when he was telling us about the axis of Evil. So we always saw a half W (a "V" then). And when we were able to see his legs, they were covered by a battle dress or a golf pants. Look closely at his right leg. His knee is bent, meaning his right shin is much longer than his left shin. Hence he needs to bend slightly his right foot. Since I don't believe W is a member of The X men, I guess he kicked so many ass, his right leg has grown more than his left one. At first glance, the decorum may seem very luxurious: walls covered with gold and onyx, silver taps. But no. The bath is not bubbling, walls are made of white plaster (turned yellow over time), taps are chromes. W wants us to know he has become John Doe. Well Georgy boy, if you want us to allow you in The Pink Forest, it's not enough. I need to see more of your repentance. Painting is a good start. So Georgy boy, continue to MAKE ART NOT WAR.
